DECLARATION OF NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE

PARISH(ES) OF Skipwith and Riccall
COUNTY OF North Yorkshire

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of section 19(1) of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and section 35(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, Natural England has, by the Skipwith Common National Nature Reserve No 2 Declaration made on the 16 day of December 2009, declared the land referred to therein a National Nature Reserve.

The land having a total area of 273.58 hectares or thereabouts, situated in the parish(es) of Skipwith and Riccall in the county of North Yorkshire and shown single hatched and shaded yellow on the map attached to the said Declaration, is the subject of an agreement (the Agreement) dated 1 December 2009 between Natural England and Charles David Forbes Adam under the provisions of section 7 of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006. The land the subject of the Agreement is being managed as a nature reserve and is of national importance.

Certified copies of the Skipwith Common National Nature Reserve No 2 Declaration 2009 have been deposited for public inspection free of charge during normal office hours at the offices of North Yorkshire County Council, Selby District Council and at the offices of Natural England at York and Head Office, Sheffield.
