There are over 400 Country Parks in England, offering great places to enjoy yourself in a natural setting. Whether taking time out, exercising, improving your health, meeting up with friends or learning more about the countryside, Country Parks have something for everyone.
Use the map and links below to find the country parks near you. You will be able to see whether they’re Accredited Country Parks or have achieved the Green Flag Award.
What is an Accredited Country Park?
Accredited Country Parks have successfully demonstrated to Natural England that they deliver all the essential services and facilities that a Country Park is expected to offer. See a list of all Country Parks with an accreditation.
The power to call a site a Country Park rests with individual local authorities. While they will still be great places to visit, sites without the Accredited Country Park logo have not yet demonstrated they offer visitors all the facilities and services expected of an Accredited Country Park. The Green Flag Award is the national quality standard for greenspace. It recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country. A Green Flag Award winning site has demonstrated that their facilities and services are high quality.
The award complements Natural England's Country Parks Accreditation Scheme, with Country Parks being encouraged to achieve both. See the Green Flag Award website
for more details.
