Natural England is supporting the Year of Food and Farming in education.

Schools are being encouraged to take part in the Year so that pupils can be offered memorable, hands-on learning experiences based around three areas: farm and countryside visits, growing experiences, and cooking food.

By registering on the new website, teachers will be able to track down local initiatives within just a few clicks of the mouse, as well as downloading curriculum materials, lessons plans, and projects. Classes will also be able to create their own unique School Space on the site, showcasing the achievements of their classes and pupils.
